Turas Teanga: A Journey of Language Rediscovery

Join Conchobhar Pádraig Ruadh as he shares insights from his own language journey, from his rediscovery of Irish as an adult learner and the topic of decolonization, to raising his child with Irish and his love of Sean-Nós singing. We will learn about the history of the Sean-Nós tradition and it’s importance to the language today, so expect to hear some songs! Our workshop will conclude with a guided meditation through Irish, as we wish for a happy and peaceful 2024.

Conchobhar Pádraig Ruadh (B.Sc Psychology), is a hypnotherapist, meditation teacher, currently undertaking an apprenticeship in shamanism and advocate of the Irish language. His work heavily emphasises the importance of inviting our native tongue into modern spirituality and our daily lives. He also believes that coming back to our native language and our traditions can be an act of decolonization.
