A Reception with Ambassador Mulhall

Cuairt chuig Ambasáid na hÉireann!

A chairde, bhí ócáid an-speisialta againn Dé Luain ag Ambasáid na hÉireann in Washington DC!

On Monday, Ambassador Dan Mulhall hosted Let’s Learn Irish TEG students and teachers. The reception was in recognition of our efforts in learning and teaching the Irish language in the capital and beyond. This meeting was the perfect way to celebrate the ‘Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge‘ examinations that took place here in May for the very first time. Ambassador Mulhall is a keen supporter of the Irish language, and was only too happy to speak ‘as Gaeilge’ and share his enthusiasm and support. Needless to say, such an occasion was very inspiring and a great source of encouragement for all present. We look forward to coordinating a ‘Bliain na Gaeilge’ event with the Irish Embassy later in the year through our Irish Language Christmas Choir (‘Cóir DC’). Mar a dúirt an Ambasadóir, “lean oraibh agus beir bua” – keep going and seize victory!
