‘Bígí Ag Caint’ on this 4th of July!

Lá an Neamhspléachais sona daoibh, a chairde Gael / Happy 4th of July everyone! Read below for our special offers on this national holiday…

“Bígí Ag Caint!” is our slogan, and for a very good reason: it means ‘get talking’, and that’s exactly what we will be focusing on all summer long! During July and August Let’s Learn Irish will be running a series of special classes focused solely on Irish conversation. We call the classes ‘Comhrá gach Céadaoin‘ because, you guessed it, they take place on Wednesdays!

The flat, discounted rate is our way of saying ‘go raibh maith agat‘ to all students who have attended classes throughout the year, and also to encourage a wide level of participation among students, new and old. We hope that as many students as possible, regardless of level, join us to practice their ‘cúpla focal’ over the 7 classes. Each week Múinteoir Elaine or Quinton will cover a new and self-contained topic, so don’t worry if you’re out of town some weeks – the course is designed for drop-ins and for students to work at their own level of comfort. ‘Comhrá gach Céadaoin’ promises to be a great way to meet fellow Irish students, develop your conversation skills and also to keep your Irish fresh throughout the summer months (before TEG A1 & A2 courses begin again in earnest)! Students can pay for single classes ($25) or sign up for all 7 weeks ($100 for a limited time)…and for the day that’s in it, the first 3 people signed-up for ‘Comhrá gach Céadaoin’ will each get a free copy of ‘Rogha Rosenstock’ by Gabriel Rosenstock!

If you’re looking on at envy while students attend ‘Comhrá gach Céadaoin’, do not fear – we are delighted to announce our dates for our next beginner course in Friendship Heights! A new 8-week Introductory Irish course is scheduled to start on Thursday Sept 6, and run for 8 weeks, until Oct 25th. Early registration is advised. Here we will cover a range of language basics and prepare students for the Intermediate class. By the end of this course, students will be able to introduce themselves and talk about their family life, where they live, occupation, likes/dislikes, hobbies, numbers, tell the time, days of the week, describe how they feel and more! If you’d like to snag the special 4th of July rate that’s available for the first 3 sign-ups, please click here. Bíodh lá an-deas agaibh, a chairde!!
