Embassy Evening, Book Launch & more!

Tráthnóna Gaeilge ag Ambasáid na hÉireann, Washington DC

On a sunny Thursday evening in Washington DC last week we hosted our third Irish Language Evening at the Irish Embassy! Ronan and Jennifer guided two class groups through a range of essential beginner phrases ‘as Gaeilge’. An assortment of refreshments afterwards gave everyone the opportunity to test out their new phrases and mingle, and there was an array of free Irish learning resources for practice at home! Many thanks to Claire Fitzgibbon, Cultural Attaché at the Irish Embassy, for hosting such an enjoyable event. You can view photos from our evening in the slideshow below.

For those willing to dip their toes a little further into the world of Irish, we will be running a series of one-day intensive courses during the summer. To keep posted on registration and future Irish language events, you can sign up to our mailing list and also join our community through Facebook. Go raibh maith agaibh / Thank you to all who turned up – bhí sé an-deas bualadh libh!

The evening kicked off with a simple Irish Writing Workshop under the guidance of Gerry’s ghostwriter, Ronan. Afterwards the star of the night arrived, and gladly posed for photos! Thanks to everyone for coming and showing your support – oíche iontach a bhí ann! See the slideshow below for a taste of what happened:
