Féile na Gaeilge 2019!

Tá Féile na Gaeilge buailte linn! From Apr 15 – 19th we are running free Irish events each evening in Washington DC. The aim of Féile na Gaeilge, now in it’s 3rd year, is to give all Irish speakers in our community an opportunity to meet up and share their Irish language skills together. We have film, music, “naughty Irish”, student presentations and a Pop Up Gaeltacht all planned, so hopefully you can join us at these free events in Friendship Heights:

Mon 15th: Oíche Scannáin (Movie Night), 7 – 8:30pm. Irish language movie with English subtitles.

Tues 16th: Oíche Cheoil (Music Night), 7 – 8:30pm. Musical discussion and performance with special guests and Cór DC.

Wed 17th: Naughty Irish Night, 7 – 8:30pm. Curses, insults and making out ‘as Gaeilge’!

Thur 18th: Oíche na Mac Léinn (Student Night), 7 – 8:30pm. Student presentations & TEG oral exams prep.

Fri 19th: PopUp Gaeltacht – come to Hoban’s, Dupont Circle, 6:30 – 8pm, and chat ‘as Gaeilge’!

Nuacht iontach, a chairde – A1 and A2 TEG exams will be taking place in Washington DC this year! Thanks to everyone who signed up for the exams, due to take place in Friendship Heights on June 15, 16th. Now just 2 months remaining to get ready – go leor oibre fós le déanamh!

Cór DC rehearsals take place on Saturday, 2 – 3:30pm. Come along to learn Irish language songs and enjoy the language in a fun environment! New and old always welcome.

Building on the Basics Bunrang class takes place on Sat, Apr 20th. This 1-day class will focus on Irish conversation, vocabulary and topics for students who have completed our Introductory 8-week or 1-Day courses. The class is also suitable for those returning to learning Irish after some time away. Early Bird rate runs until April 14th.

New A1 and A2 evening courses begin on Tuesday Apr 23rd & Thursday, April 25th. 6-weeks of A1 and A2 online Irish classes begin Sat, Apr 27th. This will be the final 6-week block of classes before TEG exams in June.
