Irish Language Evening at Irish Embassy, DC

Tráthnóna Gaeilge ag Ambasáid na hÉireann, Washington DC

On a sunny evening in Washington DC, over one hundred guests turned up for our second Irish Language Evening at the Irish Embassy! Teachers Jennifer Ní Ríordáin, Elaine Ní Chiarba and Director Rónán Ó Conghaile taught two Introductory Irish classes, and afterwards distributed free Irish learning resources and chatted over tea and coffee! Many thanks to Deirdre Bourke, Cultural Attaché at the Irish Embassy, for hosting such an enjoyable event, and to Foras na Gaeilge and Seachtain na Gaeilge for lending their support. You can view photos from our evening in the slideshow below.

For those willing to dip their toes a little further into the world of Irish, we will be running a series of one-day intensive courses during the summer, along with our usual evening classes. To keep posted on early bird rates, as well as future language events, you can sign up to our mailing list and also join our community on Facebook! Go raibh maith agat / Thank you to all who turned up – bhí sé deas bualadh libh!
