Fáilte chuig 2019!

A chairde, Athbhliain faoi shéan is faoi mhaise daoibh go léir. Welcome to 2019, International Year of Indigenous Languages! This promises to be our busiest year yet, both in Washington DC and online. Here’s what coming up in the next week alone…

Classes in DC:
6-week TEG A2 Irish: Tue, Jan 8th
8-week Introductory Irish: Wed, Jan 9th
6-week TEG A1 Irish: Thu, Jan 10th

6-week Online TEG A1: Sat, Jan 12th
6-week Online TEG A2: Sat, Jan 12th

If you’re seeking a new challenge in 2019, then learning (or returning to) Irish may be perfect goal for you! We are delighted to be offering A1 & A2 TEG courses both in DC and online, with all students supported by online audio files and a class forum. We are hopeful that this June we will have sufficient numbers for TEG to offer the first ever, full-credit A1 and A2 exams here in Washington DC. If you have any questions about joining this pioneering group of students, then read more here and drop us a line!

Social Events:
Outside of classes, we have 2 major events coming up in the next few months…

Feb/Mar – Cór DC are ‘getting the band back together’ for a series of song workshops in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day 2019. Go to Events to sign up now and join the fun!

April: Féile na Gaeilge, Washington DC’s Irish Language Festival, takes place Apr 7 – 12th. Get in touch if you’d like to be involved or suggest a language activity. Beidh fáilte romhat!

A quick word about our recent reception at the Irish Embassy – bhí sé ar fheabhas! Míle buíochas d’achan duine a tháinig agus a ghlac páirt sna ceardlanna agus an cur i láthair ag an Ambasáid. Bhíomar uilig chomh bródúil as! Agus bhí tuilleadh craic ag Cóisir na Nollag in Hoban’s 🙂 We were all very proud of our choir and the wonderful reception we received at the Irish Embassy in December. Our Christmas party was great craic too!
