Online Irish courses & TEG news

A chairde, here is a brief update on the exciting new Irish language developments taking place in Washington DC and online!

The current 8-week Introductory course began in early September. Tá fáilte mhór roimh na foghlaimeoirí nua seo – we are thrilled to welcome these new learners into the Irish speaking community in DC! These students (and anyone else with some of the language basics) are encouraged to sign up for the new TEG A1 course that will begin on Nov 1st. This course will prepare students for an official Irish language qualification in June 2019 – you can read more about the TEG exams on our website at LetsLearnIrish.com/teg/

The current TEG A2 group continue to meet each Tuesday evening at 7pm. These students passed the A1 exam last year with flying colors, and are now working diligently towards their next certification – maith sibh! The next TEG A2 course begins Tuesday, Nov 6th.

For those outside of DC, we are offering a brand new, online 6-Week Introductory Course, starting this Saturday at 11am EST. If this is something of interest to you, be sure to sign up by Thursday, Oct 11th!

And finally, for those of you who are looking for opportunities to meet other Irish speakers and practise your skills, you might like to check out the pilot project being developed at Gaeltacht.net. This is a 4-week course designed to get learners to connect and interact ‘as Gaeilge’ through daily language challenges (easy, medium or advanced levels). This pilot begins in 2 weeks, and you can read more about the project here.
