When counting to 10 in Irish, we start with “a haon” for one, “a dó” for two, “a trí” for three, “a ceathair” for four, “a cúig” for five, “a sé” for six, “a seacht” for seven, “a hocht” for eight, “a naoi” for nine, and “a deich” for 10.
