This workshop provides an overview and insight into the most prominent stories and characters featured in Irish mythological traditions. We will discuss the context and background of the tradition and its role in the country’s culture in the past and in the present.
Is scríbhneoir, aistritheoir agus teagascóir Gaeilge é Niall Ó Siadhail. Rugadh i dTír Eoghain é agus rinne sé staidéar ar an Ghaeilge, an tSean-Ghaeilge agus ar Bhéaloideas na hÉireann sa Choláiste Ollscoile, Baile Átha Cliath. Bhain gearrscéal dá chuid an chéad duais i gComórtas Liteartha an Oireachtais in 2024.
Niall Ó Siadhail is an Irish language writer, translator and teacher. He was born in Tyrone and studied Irish, Old Irish and Irish Folklore at University College Dublin. A short story of his won first prize in the Oireachtas Literary Competition in 2024.
