How to count from 11-20 in Irish
When counting from 11 to 20, things mostly remain the same except that the numbers are followed by “déag” up until 20.
To count to 20 we start with “a haon déag” for 11, “a dó dhéag” for 12, “a trí déag” for 13, “a ceathair déag” for 14, “a cúig déag” for 15, “a sé déag” for 16, “a seacht déag” for 17, “a hocht déag” for 18, “a naoi déag” for 19, and finally “fiche” for 20.

– Uimhir a trí déag = number thirteen.
– Cén uimhir a thagann roimh fhiche? = What number comes before 20?
– Covid a naoi déag = Covid 19.
