Cúis Bhróid, le Seán Mac Risteaird
Cúis Bhróid: Ceiliúradh ar an Litríocht Aiteach sa Ghaeilge
Tá ceisteanna inscne agus gnéasachta go mór i mbéal an phobail le roinnt blianta anuas agus na ceisteanna céanna faoi bhláth i gcomhthéacs na Gaeilge. Sa cheardlann seo, díreofar ar léirithe liteartha den phobal LADT+ i gcomhthéacs na Gaeilge. Cuirfear na téacsanna liteartha céanna i gcomhthéacs sóisialta agus cultúrtha na hÉireann.
Is léachtóir agus taighdeoir é an Dr Seán Mac Risteaird a bhfuil spéis aige sa litríocht chomhaimseartha agus i léann na haiteachta. Foilsíodh Teanga don Tost leis in 2024, agus bhuaigh an leabhar céanna Duais Leabhar Taighde na Bliana ó ACIS in 2025.
Gender and sexuality issues have been a hot topic in the public discourse for the past few years and the same issues are flourishing in the context of the Irish language. In this workshop, we will focus on literary representations of the LGBT+ community in the context of the Irish language. The same literary texts will be placed in the social and cultural context of Ireland.
Dr Seán Mac Risteaird is a lecturer and researcher with an interest in contemporary literature and the study of place. He published Teanga don Tost in 2024, and the same book won the ACIS Research Book of the Year Award in 2025.
